Power Couple: Under-Eye Magic

Several weeks ago I wrote about a mighty power couple.
Today I am back to write about another one.
This time the focus is on our under-eye area.
As a full-time employee and full-time student, you can pretty much assume that sleep is a little hard to come by (unless I procrastinate and decide to take a nap, of course).
Busy days + long task lists + no sleep  = recipe for dark under-eye circles (and waking up late often).
Therefore, under-eye concealer is an absolute necessity for me!
A serious must-put-on-before-I-leave-the-house step for me.
You can imagine how many concealers I’ve tried in my many years. However, they have all simply been average compared to a recent product I’ve tried.
With the recent 20%-off sale at Sephora, I decided to finally try a concealer that I’ve had my eye on for a while but couldn’t justify purchasing it until I’ve run out of my current concealers. Since it was 20% off this past weekend, I justified my purchase of the NARS Radiant Creamy concealer. Along with it, I thought I’d purchase a powder made especially for the under-eye area, the Laura Mercier Secret Brightening powder.

Let me tell ya: it’s been a magical combination!
First day, I fell in love.
Second day, still absolutely loving it.
Third day, absolutely loving it.
Fourth day, you get the point.
The NARS Radiant Creamy concealer is so creamy, which makes the under-eye area look so healthy and moisturized.
On top of that, it brightens the area since the consistency of the concealer leaves it glowing (in a good, non-greasy way) under your eyes.
If that’s not reason enough, it feels so lightweight on the delicate and thin under-eye area. I was using the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under-Eye concealer before I purchased the NARS Radiant Creamy concealer and I didn’t realize how heavy some concealers can actually feel on the skin under the eyes.
When I use the Laura Mercier Secret Brightening powder on top of the NARS Radiant Creamy concealer it just solidifies the fact that the under-eye area will be brightened and the area will look more awake. If you look closely at the Laura Mercier Secret Brightening powder in its container, it sparkles ever so slightly. At first, I was concerned that I’ll just have glitter under my eyes that will look like I was confused where to apply my eyeshadow or like I applied way too much highlighter. However, I can assure you that the slight sparkles in the Laura Mercier Secret Brightening powder are nothing to worry about. That sparkle is only the magic sprinkled to help a girl out in her time of need.
Like I said, magical combination!

Do you have a favorite purchase from the recent 20%-off sale at Sephora?!
